11 Feb 2021 - New Songs, New Year

I have some new tracks coming out soon. A couple weeks ago I made a video on a song titled "Bigger Man" for everyone to enjoy. Follow the social links at the top of the page to hear it.

There's been a fairly large development in this journey that I find very exciting. I have a connection with a filmmaker in California that was looking for a good, folky song for an upcoming short film. I wrote one specifically for this purpose, and I feel that it is one of my best lyrical compositions to date. Keep on the lookout for an update on the movie. I had some excellent banjo work done by a fantastic picker named JP. Check out JP's music on Instagram @jpmusicandart.

There are a number of songs in the works, and the limited time allowed by life makes editing and mixing a rather difficult task to accomplish. Furthermore, as the world (hopefully) begins to open back up I'll be on the prowl for more chance to take the music live. Stay connected and stay in touch!

13 Nov 2020 - Surgery and Recording

Starting now, you can download all tracks on my site for free. I have each track set up to allow you to download, no strings attached, but you have the option to pay what you want.

I'm more interested in finding out that you're listening to the music than anything else at this point. If you like what you hear, if you appreciate the effort, or if you're simply feeling kind, please consider leaving a tip through the links posted above.  Your contributions will help me on this journey.

It is officially "Good New/Bad News" time here at the Basement Studio.  I'll be getting surgery at the end of this month.  It looks like I won't be able to play for a little while.  Luckily over the last two weeks I've been playing and recording constantly.  I'm trying to lay down as many tracks as I can so that I'll be able to keep everything fresh while I recover.  My hope is to release a new track each week during that time.

Starting now, I'm releasing a new track, an instrumental, called "Autumn Love." I've never written an instrumental before, and I had a blast doing this one!  Three instruments are included on the track: guitar, mandolin, and bongos.  Give it a listen if you're so inclined.

28 Oct 2020 - Post-Gig and Recording

First of all, thank you to all of the people that came out to the gig at the historic Bethlehem Hotel.  There were some people dancing on the street, grooving in their chairs, singing on the sidewalk, and applause that filled my heart with joy.  I appreciate each and every person that took time out of their weekend to come out and support me.  Hopefully you enjoyed the music.  I had a wonderful time playing for all of you.

Now that the first gig is in the books, it's time to record some more songs.  I expect this process to take a little while, and I need to purchase a new piece of gear to make it work.  I'm hopeful that I'll have some new tracks to offer in the very near future.
